The majority of our material is sustainably harvested from discarded trees. Our live edge slabs are cut from logs that would otherwise end up in burn piles or landfills. These trees are often removed for new construction, brought down by storms, or have died and become a hazard to local homes. At Fankhauser Woodworks we cut and dry each salvaged log into usable lumber. Rather than go to waste, these unwanted trees will find new life as a unique piece of furniture that will tell a story for generations.
